Dixien’s care for the environment is exemplified by our commitment to operate within the guidelines of our ISO 14001 certification.

Our initiatives and those of our employees include a suggestion box for our associates to offer their ideas on how to positively impact the environment and a commission to elect the best ideas and reward the employee whose idea is chosen.

Examples of the work that our enviromental commission performs can be found throughout our plants as it is the case with recycle bins, low energy consumption fluorescent lighting and additional translucent panels in our plant roofs to allow more natural lighting to penetrate, therefore requiring less artificial lighting.
